My First December Daily

Hello Hello Everyone!
Today I am sharing my first ever December Daily album. I used all the gorgeous Days of December Kit , Embelishments and Add ons, and Paper Only from Take 10 Kits.  My album is very DIY because I mainly worked with what I had on hand. This was a huge Crafting my Stash project!
For the album, I used a Simple Stores 6x8 that I had. I made most of my own page protectors. The fuse tool helped me create the full size 6x8's and a few 2x2's and of course, seal up those shaker pockets!
My start:
Album cover (on the inside) I used the Pink Paislee Yuletide Stars and enamel dots..Candy cane striped Thickers, Die Cut.

Jumbo chipboard tag: Gold glitter Thickers, Tim Holtz Ideology black and white label letters (by far my favorite) .

DIY 6x8 page protector with one of the Paper Only Kit papers and snowflake die cut. The back side has the Paper Only Kit December calendar. Leaving that blank for now until the album is finished.

Day 1
Sheet Music paper from my stash(sent to me in the cutest Christmas package from my friend Lisa), shaker pocket with sequins, buttons, and Heidi Swapp Decorative sticker book from the Take Ten Embellishment Kit. 2x2's from the Paper Only cut aparts.

These are the pictures that I'm including in Day 1 with a 3x4 telling our story of the day. Traditional Candy Canes for the Christmas tree.

Day 2
DIY Kraft paper tag with my Silhouette Cameo, 2x2 page: used that cute Pink Paislee Gold Christmas Tree Clip , enamel dots, Velum gold and hearts paper from my stash, Stamped and embossed a red Ho Ho Ho on a round metal tag. (Totally scraplifted this idea from Ali Edwards since she first start using these tags!)

Hope you join me by starting a December Daily of your own!
Happy Crafting!

Planner Layout with Take Ten Kits!

Happy Thursday, Everyone!
Today I am sharing my planner layout. I do admit that I don't do this with every week, but I try to  include it in my craft time every chance I get!
The majority of the items are from the Take Ten Kit October 2015 Woodlands Glam Bag. I also used those adorable washi strips from the September Kit.
This is just one more kit that I wish I had doubles of.

The great thing about all the items that you are using in your planner layouts is that you can always reuse them in other weeks, especially if you just use clips or small glue dots to adhere.
The gold is this month's glam bag is simply G O R G E O U S! I added that little eyelet to the tag.

I created this tag out of a 3x4 card in the pocket kit. Added another eyelet to tie in all the gold.

Thank you for stopping by!

Washi in your planner

Hello hello beautifuls!

After watching a video by the talented Christy Tomlinson, I decided to give her washi bookmarks a try.
As some of you all know, I love making pocket letters! Well the beautiful girls that I've swapped with have sent me washi samples as part of the goodies. This is only part of the samples I've received. In an effort to keep them from getting lost and all in one place, I gave them a home in my planner.

I keep the ones that come in the embroidery thread holders in a ring as shown here.
Nice little tip I picked up from my very good friend Brianna

Now, for the "washi bookmark":  I took a piece of card stock and cut it up to fit the size of my planner.  You can size it to your preference.  I made mine 8.5 x  2.5 inches. Then I laminated each piece. Finally, simply wrap the samples around your new diy bookmark.

To add them to your planner, just hole punch. I used my green Cropadile that punches easily through paper that has been laminated. An extra little step that I took from Christy's videos is to made a triangle cut as shown below. This way you can easily just remove the washis when decorating your pages.

And here's how they look in my diy planner! I added a couple of my favorite washis that coordinate with the other samples.

Hope you all enjoyed my post today! Thank you for stopping by! I'm very new to planning but it is quickly becoming another beautiful craft to practice!

Jess

Pocket Letters Everywhere!

Hello Hello!!

I wanted to share more of my Biggest Obsession right now!!  Pocket Letters!!

You know how the gorgeous Project Life kits come with so many cards? Well after I use them for my layouts, I add the rest on Pocket Letters. I am also using a lot of the Take Ten Kits items, especially their glam blags. You can also just take a trip to a dollar spot and find gorgeous stuff! Anything small enough to fit is game!
I am loving the fact that I get to send out handwritten letters to so many different states and sometimes even international!
Pocket letters is all about making friendships, having penpals, sendng and receiving happy mail, and spreading the love!

Here are some of the ones I worked on this past month:

Huge Hugs,

Jess
